Lieutenant Kyle Swanson is a dedicated firefighter and paramedic with a passion for emergency services, leadership, and education. He holds multiple advanced certifications, including Flight Paramedic (FP-C), National Registry Paramedic (NRP), Advanced Technician Firefighter, and Illinois State Certified Company Fire Officer. His expertise extends to technical rescue, with certifications in Rope Operations, Water Operations, Watercraft Technician, Rescue Scuba Diving, and Ice Rescue Technician. Committed to continuous learning and professional development, Lt. Swanson will be attending Advanced Fire Officer Training in September of 2025. Beyond his operational duties, he is deeply invested in mentoring and training both new recruits and seasoned department members, helping to shape the next generation of emergency responders.
