Jeff Grant joined the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department as a Battalion Chief on December 19, 2022. He was promoted to Division Chief of Training on July 24, 2023, where he oversees the department's training programs and professional development initiatives.

Jeff began his fire service career with the Rolling Meadows Fire Department in July 1987. In February 1989, he was hired as one of the first full-time firefighter/paramedics with the Lake Zurich Fire Department. During his distinguished 33-year career with Lake Zurich, Jeff served in a variety of leadership roles, with a primary focus on the Training Division and the professional development of department personnel.

Throughout his career, Jeff was an active member of several MABAS Division 4 specialty teams, including Dive Rescue, Hazardous Materials, and the Specialized Rescue Team. He holds numerous certifications through the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal, including Fire Officer II, Instructor II, and Training Program Manager. He is also certified as a technician in Hazardous Materials, Trench Rescue, High Angle Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, and Confined Space Rescue.

In November 2022, Jeff retired from the Lake Zurich Fire Department at the rank of Captain/Shift Commander before continuing his fire service career with the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department.

Jeff and his wife, Wendy, have one son, Maxwell, and two dogs, Cooper and Axel.
