Robert Lukowski joined the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District in December of 2005.  In 2006, he obtained his Basic Operations Firefighter Certification and then obtained his Firefighter II Certification.  Additionally, in 2006, he obtained his Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Certification followed in 2011 when he obtained his Paramedic Certification.   In 2012, he obtained his OSFM Fire Apparatus Engineer Certification along with Fire Service Vehicle Operator.  He was a certified American Heart Association CPR/First-Aid Instructor and completed FEMA Incident Command System 100, 200, 300, and 700. 

Robert Lukowski also brings his experience from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, where he holds the Rank of Operations Captain, overseeing the Jail Facility and all operations involved.  Through the Sheriff’s Department, he has obtained and currently holds the following State and Federal Certifications: Public Agency Training Council—First Line Supervision, Field Training Associates—FTO (Field Training Officer) State Certification, Field Training Associates—Field Training Supervisor--Supervising and Managing, Northwestern University—School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)—Supervisor Leadership Institute (SLI), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)—Command Leadership Institute (CLI), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)—Executive Leadership Institute (ELI). 

Robert Lukowski is active in the community.  He runs our annual golf play day that has raised well over $130,000 in the last 8 years; all proceeds are donated to our local schools within our Fire District to assist in the student’s educational success.  Additionally, for the last 10 years, he hosts a fire safety and first-aid class to the Harlem School District each October.
