Lieutenant Dylan Lackey joined the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department in December 2019 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in January 2023.
Dylan grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and graduated from Rockford East High School in 2010. He began his fire and EMS career in 2011 when he earned his Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) license. Continuing his education and commitment to emergency medicine, Dylan became a licensed Paramedic in 2019.
Dylan serves as a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic with the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department and has served as the department's EMS Coordinator since 2022, helping oversee EMS operations, protocols, and training.
He holds numerous Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal certifications, including Basic Firefighter Operations, Hazardous Materials Operations, Rope Operations, Water Rescue Operations, Watercraft Technician, Fire Service Instructor I, and Fire Service Vehicle Operator.
Dylan lives in Machesney Park with his wife, Monica, and their daughter, Maggie. He remains committed to continuing his professional development while serving the residents of the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District.
